Electric Sweeper Brush Maintenance: When and How to Replace Them

With the development of intelligent cleaning equipment, modern cleaning tasks have become increasingly simple. Gone are the days when cleaning required a single person manually sweeping with a broom and a dustpan, or when large teams of workers were needed to clean extensive areas. Today, if you’re responsible for a large space, what used to require 10 workers can now be handled by just one person using an electric sweeper—achieving highly efficient cleaning results while also creating a more comfortable working environment.

One common concern people have when using electric sweepers frequently is wear and tear—particularly with components like the brushes, which play a crucial role in the cleaning process. So, how often should the brushes on an electric sweeper be replaced? Let’s take a closer look at what to do when the brushes begin to wear out.

If the brushes on an electric sweeper become excessively worn or damaged, they will no longer clean the floor effectively, leaving behind dust and debris. If you notice that the cleaning performance is declining, it likely means the brushes are significantly worn. At that point, you have two options:

1. Open the brush screw limit switch and lower the brush height, allowing you to continue using the brushes for a while longer. This is a cost-saving approach.

2. Replace the brushes directly. Typically, brushes last around 5 to 6 months, meaning you only need to replace them once a year under normal use. However, if the area being cleaned has a lot of dust and debris, the frequency of replacement may increase. Always assess based on the actual condition to ensure your electric sweeper continues to operate efficiently.
